Smiling Group Hit Clays !
| |
A great bunch of ' Shooters' arrived at the Kingsfield Shooting Arena recently and really enjoyed this new experience.
Colin , Robert , Sophie loved the opportunity to test out their co-ordination skills when trying to hit our flying clays.
Lorna and Jordan were on a return visit and took up the challenge on a regular basis after assisting their colleagues. |
Colin was right up for this new adventure and he was soon hitting and scoring on a regular basis . The Rapidfire and Speedshoot shoot-out between these two guys were very enjoyable with Colin coming out on tops at the end of the session.
Thanks for your company during the event and we wish you all , well in the future. |

'Racing Certainties' enjoy Kingsfield Clays
A management group from the recently revamped Musselburgh Racecourse enjoyed a Business Day Out at Hopetoun House recently.
The Ladies were a bit unsure of the Guns until they were advised that they were de-activated and would cause no harm. The Ladies started off the proceedings and were soon picking up a few hits on the 'flying birds'. The guys then joined in and Bill was on target right from the start, while Douglas took a wee while to get his eye in!
The two Claires were soon on target whilst Helen and Jane showed their pleasure when they hit any clays! ( Great Celebrations Girls!) .
Anne was showing her great competitive streak but we still could not get Douglas hitting a regular basis!.
When the training sessions were over and we moved on to the competitive games of Rapidfire and Speedshoot, Jane and Bill showed off their shooting skills in some great close scoring games. |
In the Final Shoot-Out , at this wonderful venue, Jane was Triumphant with Bill a close but ' disillusioned' second.
The Champagne prizes were then presented and all the group moved on to their next event with great smiles and enthusiasm with regard to their time at our Kingsfield Clays Laser Clay Experience.
Great fun was had by all and we hope you will keep Kingsfield Clays and Kingsfield Archery in mind for future Corporate events at Musselburgh Racecourse.

The second year of Music at the Cross kicked of last Wednesday with Cockelroy playing to a sizeable crowd in glorious sunshine. They utilised the Kingsfield Clays Trailer to shade themselves from the strong heat of the sun during their musical entertainment session.

| |
The popular duo of Bob on accordion and Neil on Guitar were well received in the opening event as as they were last year when they were the major crowd pleasers!
The gathering of locals, tourists and a special delegation from Brae Court loved the wide selection of music and songs performed during the two hour session. |
| |
| |
The children from the near by nursery also enjoyed their time with Cockelroy playing a
lovely selection of Scottish nursery rhymes.
Cockelroy have also been booked to appear on Wednesday 25th July and will close the

SUN Independence Day Success
| |
On 4th of July the major employer in the Royal Burgh , SUN MICROSYSTEMS , held their American Independence Day Celebrations at Linlithgow Rugby Club.
Over 240 staff members, managers and directors enjoyed the event organised by Kingsfield Leisure .
The facilities at the Rugby Club were ideal for the company event with loads of space on the playing fields, patio furniture , refreshment facilities and toilets all available for the event attendees.
The five teams enjoyed taking part in Kingsfield Archery , Bungee Running , Gladiators and a Bucking Bronco as well as Kingsfield Clays. The music for the event started early to get the staff in the mood and by the time the games commenced the staff were well up for a great day. The team members were so enthusiastic and supported their colleagues in every challenge that was set of them. All the inflatable's were well received but the Kingsfield Archery set up was a great hit as was the Laser Clay Shooting.
The food and refreshments were well received and the staff were certainly seen to be enjoying the ambience of the day that was created at the event.
Thanks for choosing Kingsfield Leisure as your event organisers and for all your appreciative comments about the way the whole event was professionally managed by the Kingsfield team. |

Kingsfield entertain at Scone Game Conservancy Scottish Fair
The Game Conservancy Scottish Fair welcomed more than 25,000 visitors to the grounds of Scone Palace, Perthshire in late June and early July 2007..
Visitors came to the three-day Fair to enjoy the lively and friendly atmosphere, to hunt for bargains in over 300 trade stands, to learn more about their countryside, to see a huge variety of displays and demonstrations and to test their skills in a wide range of competitions including our 'Shoot to Thrill' Laser Clay Experience. |
This was Kingsfield Clays debut at the event and on the Friday session we entertained a small but enthusiastic crowd. Saturday brought out the sunshine in the morning and the crowds just seemed to roll into the event with a good number taking part in our Clay shooting.
We entertained the Sporty type consisting of Clay Shooters , Fisherman and loads of the general public and they were soon laughing their way through their sessions at the shooting mats. Unfortunately the rain ended the afternoon session very abruptly at 4pm.
It seemed to rain all night and we did not think we would be able to entertain on the Sunday but the clouds disappeared and soon we had loads of 'business traffic' in the shooting arena.
Laughs were ringing out from the kids of all ages from 8 to 80 years of age. We really had some brillaint crack during each session before the showers interrupted the flow of things again and again.
The dates are already in our diary for the 2008 Scottish Fair on Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July. We look forward to seeing you there. |

Ladies Circle Enjoy Evening Shoot |
| |
The Ladies returned again with some new members and friends to the relocated Kingsfield Shooting Arena. The sun was shining as the first arrivals started their 'training' stint. They were just going through the first clay set ups when the more experience shooters arrived. Various games of Skillshoot and Rapidfire were interrupted by the 'casual consumption' of delicious delicacies, fresh fruit , nibbles and the Ladies selection in Monday Night refreshments (hic!).
The new recruits who did not think they would do very well were soon hitting the clays with Jennifer, Vivien and Sharon doing especially well as the games progressed. Last years best shots , Sandra and Jackie were slow of the mark this year, and Marion, Susan , Sandra, Joanne and Caroline took a bit of time to settle in to a rhythm.
The final shoot out was tense for the first 6 clays but then new comer Jennifer hit everything in sight to win the Ladies Circle Champion Shooter for 2007 award. She gladly accepted the Kingsfield Golf Range Loyalty card prize for her shooting and is keen to utilise the 10 baskets of golf balls on offer before her husband reads this article and finds out what she has won!!
Thanks for another great night Ladies ..........have a good summer and remember we now have Kingsfield Archery and Linlithgow Tours www.linlithgowtours.net on offer for your Winter Programme. |

Praise from Events Company - Dalmeny House
| |
Kingsfield Clays have received praise for our involvement in a recent event held at Dalmeny House in South Queensferry. The organisers, Imaginations, www.imaginations.org.uk, were so impressed by our 'laser clay shooting pursuit' that they emailed us immediately after the event to Thank us for entertaining their clients.
Thanks for everything on Saturday, the Russians couldn’t stop talking about it!
We’ll be in touch the moment we have another event coming to Edinburgh, or if we progress our current conversation about providing off-site services.
Best regards, John
Imaginations |

Kingsfield Clays had great fun with the group of 37 Russian visitors at this wonderful site just west of Edinburgh. The weather was not great but we still managed to produce enjoyment and smiles from the participants. They were wet outside but warm with praise and admiration for our Leisure pursuit.
Thanks for involving us with this event and hopefully we can be of service to 'Imaginations' again in the near future. |

Kingsfield Clays Fly High at Harley Rally |
| |
The Clyde Valley Harley Davidson Rally at Ayr Racecourse attracted over 400 bikers from Scotland , Northern Ireland and from South of the border at the end of May.
The Race course was in wonderful condition and the HOGS were up for a great weekend of COURSE! |
Our main team of shooters came from the Brothers of the Third Wheel, a group of trikers from across the Irish Sea. Geordie and his merry men and ladies had a ball with our shooting experience, after they had realised the guns were real but the ammunition was NOT! Great trikes guys - pity about the shooting performance - only joking. Hopefully we can arrange to come over and entertain your happy campers during the summer. |
| Loads of good fun was had with a great group of people - thanks for involving Kingsfield Clays - and thanks for arranging that 'wee concert' on the Saturday Night for us ! The 'SAW DOCTORS' and 'DEACON BLUE' was more than we had expected! |

Enjoy a Ball Enjoyed Laser Clays
Kingsfield Clays Welcomed the Director and staff of Enjoy a Ball to our Linlithgow Shooting Arena recently. The group had been involved in some in-house training and then wished to let their hair down at our 'Shoot to Thrill' Laser Clay Experience. |
| |
The sun was out as the group set about enjoying themselves. Hits were slow to come by but after a bit of training most of the team were hitting the clay targets.
Alister started well , but Gary and Gordon soon improved to challenge their colleague. Brigit was doing better than she had presumed she would but Claire was not seeing eye to eye with the flying clays at first! |
The boss, Warwick , was enjoying himself and had his moments when he could not miss, but this soon became a bit erratic and it was left for the other guys to shoot it out for the Best Shot. Claire did surprise herself with a few excellent shots so she did not go away disappointed but it was Gary who came through to win the final shoot out.

Glad you enjoyed the occasion folks and we hope to be of service to you again in the future. |

Glasgow Accountants Count the scores at Kingsfield Clays |
| |
During a recent event at the Forrest Hills Hotel in Aberfoyle a sizeable group of accountants enjoyed their time with our leisure pursuit. The group was split into teams of 6 participants who were provided with a short training session before attempting to shoot the flying clays.
All the groups had great fun and were generally very good shots , much to their own amazement in certain cases. The scores were very respectable but the smiles and laughter told there own story of how much the teams enjoyed the experience.
We hope you all enjoyed the rest of your Team Building Event.

Kingsfield Clays Entertain and Promote Landrover |
| |
We had the opportunity to entertain a group of staff from Landrover in Holland during a recent event at Dalmahoy Hotel.
The Landrover Directors were very happy to see that Kingsfield utilised one of their products to transport our trailer and personnel to the event site.
The guys were a bit shy in front of the camera(!) but you can see that we did promote their Company during the event! |
| |
| |
After visiting Linlithgow Palace, St.Michaels Church and Annet House the group were transported to our Golf Facility where they were split into 3 groups. Alternating from an introduction to the game of Golf presented by David Burns , our Laser Clay 'Shoot to Thrill' pursuit and enjoying lunch in the Tee Caddy Coffee Shop the attendees smiles indicated that they had indeed appreciated the on site leisure opportunities.
After some intersting Golf swings being observed and amazing shooting positions the group were then entertained onboard the St.Magdalene Canal boat by Accordionist Bob Proudfoot. The kids joined in with singing and clapping to Bob's selection of music as they cruised along the Union Canal towards Linlithgow.
This great group of young people showed their appreciation at all stages of the day to the Tourism Guides at the places visited and to the Golf and Laser Clays instructors as well as to Jane and Helen for lunch and Bob for his jovial music.
We all hope you enjoyed your visit to Linlithgow and hope to meet with you , your family and friends in the future back in the Royal Burgh or in your towns during future Twinning Visits.

Kingsfield Clays
at MacDonald Cardrona Hotel |
Building on our business relationship with Go Forth and MacDonald Hotel at Cardrona near Peebles, Kingsfield Clays have had the opportunity to perform at this beautiful Golf and Hotel Resort three times so far in 2007.
The setting is absolutely magnificent with the hills all around the hotel grounds which lies in the valley and is dissected by the fast flowing River Tweed. The changing colours of the landscape , the peace and stillness of the area provide an ideal location for us to perform our
outdoor leisure pursuit , namely Kingsfield Clays.
The groups enjoy all the scenery that this provides and are soon immersed in shooting at the flying clays that soar out of either of our automatic or manual launchers.

Northern Division enjoy Cardrona Experience with Kingsfield Clays |
Winter Sunshine , beautiful countryside and a smashing group of work colleagues set the scene at Cardrona lately for a team building event for TDG. This transport companies day out of the office got off to a great start with plenty of wise cracks being made and loads of laughter being enjoyed by the group.
The 'Disney Team' as they wished to be known were right up for a great day out and they soon got the hang of hitting our flying clays. The various shooting positions , styles and levels of accuracy kept the watching participants focused on the shooting teams performances. The completive edge come out in a few and we had a great shoot out to see who was the TDG Shooting Champion.
Thanks for your involvement in our Kingsfield Clays and we hope you also enjoyed the Archery session at the Quarry. |

Superb FAM Trip Group Enjoy Clays at Cardrona |
On a beautiful Spring morning in the Borders Kingsfield Clays had the pleasure to entertain a group from Booking Services International (BSI) www.bsi.co.uk during a Familiarisation Trip to Macdonald Hotels in Scotland.
A few of the party looked a little dismayed when they are arrived at our Shooting Arena but after a few tips on how to go about the art of utilising our de-activated guns they were soon hitting the Clays. Yes a few took a little longer than others but the good shots seemed to spur the more timid shooters on to better things.
The scores recorded by the end of the session proved that everybody had improved during the event and the smiles on the faces also indicated that the whole group had enjoyed their time with our 'Shoot to Thrill' Laser Clay Shooting Experience.
Thanks for all the laughs and fun we had and if we can ever be of service to you , or your customers, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kingsfield Clays hope you enjoyed your trip to Cardrona and Edinburgh. |

Harley Davidson Club Shoot -Out at Kingsfield |
On Sunday 28th January we had the great pleasure to Welcome 25 members of the Clyde Valley Harley Davidson Bikers Club to the Kingsfield Laser Clays Shooting Arena.
The gathered participants were right up for a great time and they enjoyed a magnificent afternoon with young and old joining in this Winter season activity break.
Local Celebrity and ex River FM DJ, Jimmy Young organised this event and he was full of praise for the Kingsfield Clays set up.
After two and half hours of great fun and laughter the group went on to enjoy a lovely afternoon tea at the Star and Garter Hotel.
Thanks for choosing Kingsfield Clays for your event and we look forward to your company at future events.
One of the Harley Davidson Bikers ,' Big Wullie ' even turned up with his own Shot Gun. Big Wullie travelled all round West Lothian trying to find the Kingsfield Shooting Arena, without success but not to be deterred with his lack of local knowledge he arrived two and half hours late, after utilising his shooting skills in East Kilbride, Whitburn , Armadale and at Linlithgow Golf Club. His arrival brought more laughter to a great afternoon's entertainment. Well done Big Man!

Kingsfield to entertain Belgian Hotel and Tourism School Party - Again |
| |
Kingsfield had the pleasure of entertaining a wonderful group from the Hotel & Tourism School from Spermalie, Bruges in Belgium in 2005... |
Now their Tour Co-ordinator Sabrina Caeckaert has been in touch to arrange another visit for the end of January 2007. It is great to have the opportunity to welcome the new students to Kingsfield in the near future and we hope they enjoy their visit as much as the original group did.
| |
On a sunny but cold winter's afternoon Kingsfield Leisure gave a warm welcome to the touring party of the Hotel & Tourism school from Spermalie, Bruges in Belgium. Led by Co-ordinator Sabrina Caeckaert the group of twenty five enjoyed their first experience of playing Golf and taking part in our Laser Clay Shooting experience.

The group was divided into two teams with the A team being first to experience our 'Shoot to Thrill' laser shooting. After the basic introduction on how the guns actually worked the individuals were soon testing their skills against each other. Plenty of hilarity and good honest fun was enjoyed by all the participants.
After an hour the teams switched over and the B team were soon firing away at the colourful flying clays. The temperature had dropped dramatically but this was not going to stop the 'Famous Five' from enjoying as many games as possible before the light faded. It was a pleasure to entertain such a superb group of well mannered individuals , who are a credit to their school and to Belgium. Thanks for visiting our 4 Star Visit Scotland Facilities at Kingsfield.
