Clan Games at Kingsfield
Bride to be Linda wanted to do something really different for her HEN PARTY and choose to involve all her lady friends and family members in a special Clan Games at Kingsfield recently. The Games arena was looking great and the Saltire Flag flying when the clanswomen came over the hill!
Clans were chosen , chieftains elected and face painting undertaken before each clan had to decide on their Clan Chant …….that would scare even the wildest clanswomen from the other clans! Then into battle they went with warriors faces , loud chants and ‘crazy women’ in tartan and ‘jimmy hats’!
Tossing the Caber took a few of them by storm , then the Farmers Dash had a few dizzy doing the podium turn during the course, the all got a wee bit wet with the wellie boot throwing , before relaxing a wee bit at the Haggis Lobbing and then need to communicate well at the Nordic Skiing!
Great roars of excitement , encouragement and laughter were evident through out the games with Granny Campbell and young Shannon stars of the Event - along with the wild BRUCE Clan who out shouted all the other clans with their antics , face painting and clan dexterity at every clan game especially the Nordic Skiing.
A great day was had by all and it was a pleasure to have these clanswomen visit Kingsfield!
